You can have them send you a new password if you have a different email linked to the account, then sign in and continue using it or delete it.

  • Question

How do I figure out whose iCloud account is on my phone?

    Community Answer

Go to Settings, then to the iCloud icon, and you will see the address of the iCloud account.

  • Question

How do I add my own iCloud account if I bought the phone secondhand?

    Community Answer

If you bought the phone secondhand and the previous owner has released it from their account, just go to "Settings" and log in like usual. You could also reset the device (for the account) and log in that way. If their account is still there and you are unable to log in, follow the steps above.

  • Question

How can I create a new iCloud account if I do not remember my iCloud password?

    Community Answer

You can follow the directions to reset your password, or you can contact Apple support to create a new account if you are eligible to do so.

  • Question

Can I remove the iCloud account from one of my two iPhones without affecting the iCloud account on the other?

    Community Answer

Yes. Your iCloud account is stored in the cloud, so removing it from a device will not affect your account or the other device. If you have information on the device you're removing your account from, it is a good idea to back up that device before removing the account.

  • Question

Will my photos be deleted if I do this?

    Community Answer

No; photos saved on your original account will remain there. They will still be accessible any time you log back into your old account.
